I took a hike with the dog yesterday and the snow conditions were perfect for spotting animal tracks. I saw lots of fresh deer, rabbit, and squirrel tracks and then I ran across these tracks. I took some pictures and brought them home, cropped them on the computer and enhanced the color. The closest match I could find was a fisher. The habitat was consistent with fisher territory – wooded, with known squirrel and porcupine populations.
